Edit: Didn't you say you salvaged a perfect Deathbane bow grip yesterday? Somehow i don't think it compares slightly to the 6 wooden planks i just got from a 14% while hexed 20/19 sundering +7 vs physical flatbow.... salvaging is so shit.

i have been farming em for 2 hours now and have gotten a sup monk, absorp, vig, and axe mastery. not counting the millions of other majors.

Yeah i got another Sup Absorption too, give it another few days they're gonna be worth nothing. They've gone from once in a lifetime drops to every other Rare Ettin Pauldron.

God knows how you are all getting this, 5 runs through nebo and through nkp and back-2 purples, 1 superior fast casting.....your 5 runs = what, 4 sup absorbs!, if you think you are having bad luck....think of poor me

Guitary Boy, don't farm Nebo. The Ettins there are not worth the time and effort. Just farm the NKP area by zoning in and out of the Nebo and Scoundrels Rise portal.

Yeah, and I just got a +28 health bow grip from a purple bow. Don't worry though, I've had my share of perfect salvages that resulted in materials.

Ok...but from what i can see, there are only about 8 ettins there and a whole buncha bog skales...btw im using my axe warrior....could this some how effect drops??-Thanks for info though.

Edit: not to mention about 60 caromi....killed about 29 of them, 1 gold. Guess.......

just kill the ettins and rezone over and over.

The NKP Ettins range from about 6-15 depending on the spawn. You can easily pull the Ettins from the Bog Scale because they are seperate groups. The Nebo Ettins will drops golds, but the drop rate is not worth the time it takes to run all the way over there.

And yes, warriors are very slow at killing Ettins. By the time you've killed one, I've killed 6. It's just the nature of the beast. Warriors are forced to kill them one at a time where other professions can kill the whole group at once.

Well, looking through all of nkp, i had 7 ettins this run, 5 of wich where tied in with bog scales, 5 of wich dropped nothing, 1 droped a purple :S, caromi=3 golds...all mesmer runes! i dont get it, oh and i still can kill etins pretty fast, about 5 takes me 2 mins...just disrupt healing, 1 by 1 they die in about 20 seconds- i might post a screen of about 10 nebo runs later
Edit-im on my 9th nebo run, taken me about 1 hour ...ss in about 10 mins

Just did 2 runs, got 1 purple. Normally in two runs I get about 2 blue's, maybe 3-4 purples and 1-2 golds

The problem is as you refuse to tell us your build or even seem to let on if you kill them 1 at a time or simply waste them all together, we have no way of knowing that

Some ettins can take me upto 20 seconds, some i can waste in 4 attacks.

where are you farming ettins?

i killed a few in north kryta province, and in Nebo terrace, but out of about 50 ettins i got 1 gold armor, 2 purple

I've gotten good drops from both sides of the portal. I tend to farm more in Nebo just because there are more Ettins there and I don't want to walk through the settlement just to kill 6 ettins.

I beg to differ. Up until a few passes of Scoundrels and Nebo portal ago i was getting plenty of purples, then all of a sudden they started throwing every gold armour they had me, got another 6 in 10-15 minutes. I'd never got that many doing Nebo ever.

i do think some accounts are luckier than other or some mysterious way or the other..the drops really differ from people to people..yea i farmed them too with my whammo just bc i only have two toons ranger/ele or whammo ..go figures why i chose my whammo..anyway the prooff of it drops is enough for me i guess,maybe lady luck is not on my side at all..
